Day 10 - Last Day in Ucluelet

It rained all night and was still windy and raining when I woke up. Time to have a leisurely morning and watch the F1 race on TV while we waited for the weather to clear. It stopped raining mid-morning and we ventured outside. This is a view of our building from the "Whisky Landing" dock. We are in the unit at the top with the two balconies.

We walked across the street to the Ucluelet Aquarium to see what it had to offer. This is an interesting place that features sea life that are all from the local waters and temporarily housed in the display tanks. The local sea water is continuously circulating through the tanks and everything is returned to its natural environment on a regular schedule. I can't remember the names of all of the species I took photos of but here is a sample of what we saw.

By the time we left the aquarium, the sun was out and it was time to go for a hike. We decided to do another segment of the Wild Pacific Trail that has fabulous seascapes.

After our hike we went to the Ucluelet Brewing Company for re-hydration therapy then back to the apartment to enjoy the sunny weather views of the boats coming and going from our balcony. A bald eagle flew by but I was not quick enough to capture a good pic.

I was hoping for a good sunset tonight and had checked out Big Beach as a potential photo spot. Unfortunately a rain cell was approaching and messed up a nice sunset opportunity but I did capture these.
