Day 13 - Quadra Island to Campbell River

Before departing Quadra Island we went to explore some of the northern part of the island. We had a trail recommended that involved driving on some logging roads to get to the trailhead. That almost wasn't a good idea as we bottomed out in the rental car a couple of times but it still seems to be running OK.

We arived at the Shellaligan Trail and hiked a somewhat challenging loop trail that involved scrambling up and down along a rocky shore and some nice sections through a dense forest. Some really nice views.

This is where Magellan (Chris) guided us down the wrong trail and into some thick underbrush. Luckily our hiking app got us back on track.

There was a bit of scrambling up and down the rocky shore.

We went from here to the ferry dock to wait for the next crossing to Campbell River where we are staying for the next two nights. Our room again overlooks the inside strait and we again enjoyed watching the boats. This time a Canadian Warship passed by.
