Day 2 - Victoria BC
This was the first full day in the new time zone and we did manage to sleep in enough to get synchronized with west coast time.
After breakfast at the condo, we stepped outside and embarked on a walking tour of Victoria Harbour. There is a nice walkway that follows the shore all the way around the harbour taking you by a lot of the iconic sights such as the Empress Hotel, the BC Legislature Building and the floating homes at Fisherman's Village. We also visited Thunderbird Park to see some Totem Poles and spent a couple of hours in the Royal BC Museum. They have an excellent permanent exhibition of the Natural History of Vancouver Island.

We took a break back at the condo in late afternoon before going out to try some of the local Chinese food in our neighbourhood. We went to a Yunnan restaurant and I tried the traditional "Crossing Bridge" bowl. They bring a large steaming bowl of broth and about a dozen raw ingredients plus noodles which you dump in the bowl and stir. Interesting and tasted good.
After dinner, we walked back to the harbour and listened to a Blues band and watched some buskers as the sun went down. I captured a few shots of the Legislature illuminated plus a few other street scenes. Lots of action of Government Street on a Saturday night.
